Microsoft makes $10 billion bid for majority of Apple

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

Microsoft announced today that they had approached rival corporation Macintosh with a bid of $10 billion dollars for 39% of the Macintosh Corporation. If Apple agrees to the terms this would place Microsoft as majority owners of Apple holding 51% of stocks.

Steven A. Ballmer is Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Corporation stated, “I believe it is a good move Microsoft. Macintosh has been our leading competitor for a number of years now and they have those rather disturbing commercials making Microsoft look bad. I would also like to get some black silhouettes dancing to different music over here at Microsoft. Those guys are really cool.”

Numerous groups have already begun to speak out about Anti-Trust law infringements. The possible merger of Microsoft and Apple could be very problematic for the software, hardware, and computer programming industries as a whole.

John Mills, CEO of Tech Stars LLC stated, “Many geeks will not have a major platform to rebel against Microsoft with. Linux and Unix will still be around, it is difficult to kill the open source movement, but Linux and Unix are not really well funded and they don’t have those really witty commercials. Additionally, you can’t play World of Warcraft on a Linux machine. It will be very difficult for the average geek to handle this news.”

If you like the joke, you are welcome to link to this post and present it like real news. Feel free to add to the story, maybe Steven A. Ballmer really wants a Microsoft phone. If you don’t want to go to all the trouble you can just slashdot, digg, stumble, etc. it.

Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) 4th edition (ed) Character Sheets

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Here are some examples of the Dungeons and Dragons 4th ed character sheets.

Wired broke this story stating

“Wizards of the Coast, the current custodians of the D&D universe, have been talking about the upcoming fourth edition of the game for months, but they’ve been fairly cagey about hard details, preferring to tell us more about how elves love footraces than how much damage a fireball does. They’re running actual 4e games at D&D Experience, though, and thanks to people with scanners, you can too!”

You can see a complete slide show of the character sheets here.
