So I was surfing around online the other day and feeling a little nostalgic and I decided to watch some old He-Man cartoons. He was the first man I ever had a crush on, so when I came by something that made me jump out of my seat and cry with joy.

A new, live action, He-Man movie!!!! The movie is scheduled to come out sometime in 2009. Joel Silver is the producer and Justin Mark is said to be writing the script. There isn’t a lot of info on the movie yet but they will be using a lot of the same visual effects as they did in the movie 300. There is no information about on who is playing the lead roles.

I have two things to say about it.

1. Skeletor looks freaking creepy as h*ll. (No, he doesn’t have the high pitched voice and blue skin we all loved from the cartoons but he is scary.)
2. There is also Battle Cat, folks. Battle Cat looks bad *ss!!!!

It’s nice to finally have a movie about He-Man. It’s going to take place on his home turf of Eternia, and it’llhave all the important people like the sorceress, Man in Arms, Battle Cat (sorry, I just can’t get over how cool he looks). Let’s face it, no matter how many chances I give old crappy live action He-Man from 87 hoping that maybe I’ll like it, I just can’t bring myself to do it.

The Sims 2 is a great game!! To begin playing the Sims 2 you can create a single character, or a family, move them into a house and from that point on you control everything about their lives or at least attempt to control everything in their lives. From creating cool houses, close calls with vampires, and trying to deal with the grim reaper for the life of a loved one, the Sims2 is probably the one game that if I had it my way, I would play for a month straight with no sleep. If you have never played this game then it’s a blessing and a curse. It is such a great game that it isn’t uncommon for people to stay up till 3am just making sure that the house they built is perfect. At the same time you have to be careful because there are so many expansion packs and stuff packs that it gets a little pricey. They have Open for Business, Nightlife, University, Pets, Holiday, Seasons, and Bon Voyage expansion packs. Stuff packages include Glamor, H&M Fashion, Teen, Celebration, Family.

Probably the biggest expansion pack for the most avid fans is the Seasons edition. Without the Seasons edition, it is always sunny and perfect outside. However with Seasons, if you’re not careful Sims can suffer from heat stroke to hypothermia. It is pretty cool. Once, I saw what happened when a sim overheated and well, spontaneous combustion, is possible. It doesn’t happen often but when is does your jaw will be left hanging open. Additionally, there are some other cool seasonal effects such as hail storm, lighting strikes and blizzards. The blizzards can keep yours sims home from work and school.

The Sims2 have come to dominate the world of expansion packs and stuff packages. Just when you think you have figured out every little detail of the game they bring out a new expansion or stuff package. The difference is that the expansion packs gives you a whole new level of playing and more things to do with the game. Example: Bon Voyage allows you to go on vacation and University lets you go to college for a chance at bigger and better careers. A stuff package is just that, some new stuff to add to the shopping list, new clothes and furniture.

Maxis is coming out with both a new expansion pack and a new stuff collection soon.

The new expansion pack is called Free Time. New interests such as bird watching, dancing, sports, all sorts of new things for your sims to explore. Its coming out in the spring and I can’t wait.

The new stuff package titled “Kitchen and Bath Interior Design Stuff” has some really cool designs with more choices than the limited selection of a few bathtubs and showers. It features Clawfoot tubs, bathrobes to wear, granite counter tops for the kitchen. Yeah, it’s gonna be great.

I know that the Sims2 Free Time will be coming out later this month. The Kitchen and Bath interior designs release will be release in April of 2008.

Lets just say that the guys at my local game store know to expect me to be waiting at the door, when they open, on the release date of these expansion kits. As soon as I walk in the door, they hold up my pre-ordered game and I happily skip to the counter.
