House of the Dead and Doom are two games that I definitely forgot to mention. Better graphics and more interactive gameplay has probably been a leading cause to the chainsaw's increasing popularity as of late. Also, there might have been one in Fighting Force, but I'm not sure. I think the increased ability to interact with the video game's environment makes the chainsaw a great addition.
