<description>Some responses to some of the questions you posed (take 2):

1. Yes, he is openly gay. I thought it was a bit stereotypical for them to choose the stoic, hulking guy for this.

2. Yes, Whitmore wants more than just Ben. I think Ben really is protecting our gang and actually is “one of the good guys” as he always says.

3. Who killed Rousseau? I vote for the redhead from the boat. They’ve gone out of their way to show us how psycho and capable of killing she is.

4. Can you die off the island? This is tied to “can you give birth without dying?” and “why did the Others want little kids/why are kids special on the island?” which is the central mystery of the show for me, except….

5. Is it the real Walt? Given the well-know connections between space/time, I think it COULD be the real Walt that Locke saw. If the island messes with time (and we know it does) it could also mess with space somehow, especially for the “magical” kids. I think THIS is the biggest mystery and it better have a great payoff someday!

I’ll look forward to more from you when the show resumes – your blogs have been more interesting than the actual show the last couple of weeks….
